Established in 1977, Maurer Marine, Inc. is a family-owned and operated business located just minutes from beautiful Newport Beach Harbor in Orange County, California. Maurer Marine is your local authorized source for inflatable boats, outboard motors, davit systems, genuine parts, quality marine services, and warranty repair. We have a great team of employees and a large selection of inflatable boats and outboard motors to choose from.
We proudly sell and service Mercury Marine, Suzuki Outboards, Yamaha Outboards, Zodiac Inflatable Boats, Novurania Inflatable Boats, Walker Bay Inflatable Boats, and Newport Vessels. Maurer Marine provides pickup and mobile services from San Diego to San Pedro.
From the founder
I grew up on these docks. The shop grew out of a life on the water.
Considering I grew up on Balboa Island in the ’50s and ’60s, it wasn’t hard to fall in love with boating and fishing. At twelve I began working aboard a Hatteras named Dorado — the start of a lifelong journey in the marine field.
At eighteen I joined the U.S. Coast Guard for six years and traveled the world. After returning, I finished college and became a professional captain on yachts along the West Coast of the U.S. and throughout Mexico.
I started Maurer Marine in 1977. Since then, our strength in the marine industry has been built around our full service and support departments. Attention to detail, hard work, and follow-up with our customers have allowed us to become a very successful and well-diversified marine service center.

Our service center is equipped with the latest tools and equipment for repairing both inflatable boats and outboard motors. We service 2-stroke and 4-stroke motors and will repair most makes and models — but not all, so please check prior to drop-off.
We are a certified dealer for Yamaha Outboards, Mercury Marine, Suzuki Outboards, Zodiac Marine, Zodiac Inflatable Boats, Zodiac Mil-Pro, Novurania Inflatable Boats, Walker Bay Inflatables, and Newport Vessels. Our service department is here to help your engine reach peak performance.

A few stops along the way
From the Coast Guard to the coast.
1969–74
Craig Maurer serves six years in the U.S. Coast Guard, traveling the world before returning to the Southern California coast.
1977
Craig founds Maurer Marine at 873 W. 17th St., Costa Mesa — minutes from Newport Harbor.
1980s
Becomes the regional dealer of choice for Zodiac inflatables and Yamaha outboards.
2000s
Adds Mercury, Suzuki, Honda — the major four-stroke lines join the bench.
2010s
Walker Bay, Novurania, and MilPro fold in. Pickup and mobile service spans San Diego to San Pedro.
Today
A modern, family-run, multi-brand marine shop with nearly half a century on the water.
