FAQ
Boats, answered.
What's the best yacht tender brand?
Depends on the yacht and how you'll use the tender. Novurania is the boutique answer — Italian-built, refined finishes, the natural choice for polished yacht-class tenders. Zodiac Nautic Yachtline is the bestselling all-rounder — RIB construction, available 9 to 16 feet, ready for Mercury or Yamaha power. Walker Bay's Generation series leans recreational. Zodiac MilPro is mil-spec — overkill for most yachts, perfect for charter or commercial use. Send us your boat and how you'll use the tender — we'll match it.
What's the difference between Hypalon and PVC?
Hypalon (CSM) is a synthetic rubber that handles UV, ozone, and saltwater far longer than PVC — typically 10–20 years vs. 5–10 in Southern California sun. PVC is lighter and less expensive. Most yacht-class tenders are Hypalon for that reason. We service both materials and can re-tube either.
What's the smallest inflatable that fits a 40–50 ft yacht?
Most 40–50 ft yachts run a 9–11 ft tender. Typical fits: Zodiac Yachtline 280–340, Walker Bay Generation 340, Novurania Chase 19. Final fit depends on your transom space, davit capacity, and how many people you'll carry. Send us your yacht details and we'll spec it.
Do you sell tenders for boats not currently in your lineup?
We carry the four major inflatable lines, which together cover almost every yacht-tender use case. If you're looking at a brand we don't carry, call us — we'll often know the comparable boat in our lineup, and we can be honest about whether you'll be better served elsewhere.
