Yacht with davit

What we handle.

We sell the davit and the hardware around it. Structural install (backing plates, hydraulic plumbing, transom reinforcement) is handled by your yard.

Davit sales

Hydraulic, electric, manual. Single-arm, dual-arm, telescoping. We work with the major manufacturers and sell what fits your transom, your tender weight, and how you launch. No upsell — we don't carry stock we have to move.

Spec consultation

Tell us your boat, your transom configuration, and your tender (or send photos). We'll size the system, recommend the right manufacturer for your use case, and quote it inside 48 hours.

Chocks & swim-step hardware

We handle the chocks, cradles, and swim-step hardware that secure your tender on deck. Full davit installation goes to your yard — but we'll spec the system and tell you exactly what your installer needs.

FAQ

Davit questions, answered.

Do you install davits?

We sell the davit, spec it for your boat, and handle the chocks and swim-step hardware your tender sits on. Full davit installation — backing plates, structural reinforcement, hydraulic plumbing — is handled by your yard. We'll tell your installer exactly what's needed.

What davit weight capacity do I need?

Capacity equals tender weight + outboard + fuel + a safe margin. For a 9 ft inflatable with a 15 hp outboard, plan around 350–450 lbs working load. For a 13 ft RIB with a 50 hp, you're looking at 700–900 lbs. We'll spec the system from your tender's actual rigged weight, not the brochure number.

Can a davit be installed on a swim platform?

Often yes. Most modern swim platforms can take a davit with proper backing and structural reinforcement. We'll inspect (or review photos), tell you whether it's viable, and recommend the right hardware. The structural work itself goes to your yard.

Do you sell chocks and swim-step hardware separately?

Yes — chocks, cradles, tie-downs, and swim-step hardware to secure a tender on deck. We carry the common pieces and order specialty hardware as needed.
