FAQ

Repair questions, answered.

Do you fix boats not bought from Maurer?

Yes. We service every inflatable we sell, and most we don't. Bring it to our Costa Mesa yard or send the details and we'll diagnose and quote.

Hypalon vs PVC — do you work on both?

Both. Hypalon (CSM) is the long-life option common on yacht-class tenders; PVC is lighter and lower-cost. Material choice affects patch type and re-tube approach. Send photos with your request and we'll spec the right fix.

How long do repairs take?

Tube patches and valve work usually run 2–7 days in the shop depending on the queue. A full re-tube is 4–8 weeks once we have your boat — that window depends on parts availability and the shipping time to order the tubes. We'll quote a timeline when we confirm the job.

Do you do transom rebuilds?

Not as a regular offering. We focus on tube patches, valve replacements, full re-tubes, and accessory installs. For structural transom work we'll point you at the right shop.
